Early on in my career, I had the opportunity to work with a client, whom I’ll call Sarah. Sarah came in because she was feeling depressed about the end of her romantic relationship. She didn’t understand what had gone wrong and couldn’t figure it out on her own. What she did know was that she was is so much pain that she never wanted to go through that again.
Through our work together, she saw the pattern that she had been repeating and why. She began to make different choices. Her mood improved as she felt more empowered to do things differently. She came to believe that she had what it takes to have a happy, long-lasting relationship. She did move on to a healthier relationship and, last I saw her, she was engaged.
As I worked with Sarah and saw the wonderful changes in her life, I realized that I wanted to devote my career to helping people like her, and that’s what I’ve been doing for over 10 years now.
If you’re interested in my credentials, I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I held a management position in a Fortune 500 company for over a decade. I changed careers because I wanted to help people in a way that felt meaningful to me, and now I’m doing exactly that. I truly believe that we all deserve love and happiness.
I look forward to meeting you.
